Description

Timelapse animation created from 325 recordings between 11:59 and 13:24UT on July 18th 2024. Each recording was 14 seconds long with a framerate of 135fps (1890 frames) and 1 seconds delay between each recording.

The recordings where obtained using a using a TS-Optics 102mm f/11 ED, Baader Cool-Ceramic Safety Herschel Prism Photographic 2", Baader ND OD 0.9, Altair G-Band Solar Contrast Filter (430.3nm) 2nm 1.25", Baader Q-Barlow 2.25x / 1.3x (working at 2.25x giving 2524mm efl and f/24.75) and Player One Mars-M camera mounted on a ZWO AM5 and guided with Hinode SolarGuider.

The best 400 frames from each recording was stacked in AutoStakkert!4 before they were aligned and sharpened in ImPPG. The images was then contrast-stretched in Adobe PhotoShop before deflickering in GBDeflicker. Timestamp annotation was added using IrfanView and the final animation which was created using PIPP at 15fps. This effectively compressed the 1 hour 25 minutes of duration down to just 21 seconds.
